Our Leadership

Our Clinical Director is an internationally recognized Clinical Mental Health Counselor and School Counselor with more than 15 years of experience in counseling, research, education, and ministry.

Her areas of specialization include trauma-informed counseling, somatic approaches to mental health, and school counseling. She works with individuals, families, students, and communities to support healing, emotional well-being, personal growth, and resilience.

Her professional experience also includes counseling education, research, supervision, mentoring, and the development of counseling and training programs. In addition to clinical counseling services, coaching is available to support personal development, leadership growth, goal setting, and life transitions.

Her vision for a counseling and training center began in 2009 and continues to grow through the Shelter of Hope for Counseling and Lay Counseling Training Program. The program provides training, mentoring, and ongoing supervision to individuals serving others through counseling and supportive care.

The Shelter of Hope is committed to providing compassionate, ethical, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed services to people from diverse backgrounds and communities around the world.
